"Danielle, it's time to get up dear." Vlad said as he burst into his daughter's room.
"Pack your bags and get prepared, we shall be going camping today" He said smiling as he opened her blinds to let the sun in.
Dani groaned in typical 12 year old fashion and pulled the covers over her head.
"Ugh Daaaaad nooo! I don't want to go camping." She said wanting to go back to sleep and enjoy her three day weekend in the mansion they lived in, not in some dumb dirty forest.
Vlad gave a soft sigh and went over to remove the blanket from Dani.
"Come on dear, you can't stay in bed all weekend long. It's not good for you. Kids your age should be spending some time outdoors. It will be exciting you'll see!" He said as he sat at the end of the bed waiting.
Dani groans
"But daaaaad,camping is so boring. It's nothing but getting dirty and lost surrounded by many same looking trees. That doesn't sound like fun to me. Also, there's no wifi!"
Vlad rolled his eyes and shook his head
"You young folks these days can't survive even half a minute without your cellphones." He said and removed the blanket from her face.
Dani hissed as the sunlight shone across her face,scrambling to try and hide her head under a pillow.
Vlad chuckles and gently grabs her hands to pull her up.
"Come on darling, it's been such a long time since we've done some father daughter activity together. This will be fun! You'll see."
Dani sighs and turns over to look at her dad,he was looking at her with puppy dog eyes, not good ones but he was trying his best. She groans but gets up.
"Ffiiiiinnne" She said getting up to get ready.
"But this better be worth it." She huffed
Vlad got up to continue packing
"Oh trust me my dear, it absolutely will." He said smiling.
Dani huffed and grumbled as she stood next to Vlad as rained poured around them. She was soaking wet and their campsite was a couple inches under water.
She looked over and gave him a death glare.
"Let's go camping, he said. It will be fun, he said." She grumbled
Vlad sighs as he too was soaked from head to toe. He looked over at his daughter and gave a soft chuckle.
"Well...it seems like mother nature had a change of plans." He said sheepishly
Dani was about to respond when suddenly,her breath appeared blue infront of her. She looked around and jumped at the suddenly loud boom of thunder.
Looking up, she saw what had triggered her ghostly breath in the first place.
"Not mother nature," she said tugging at Vlads sleeve making him look up.
"Look!"
Vlad looked up to where she was pointing at let out a gasp.
"Vortex!" He said as said ghost appeared in the clouds above letting out a thunderous laugh as he made lightning dance across the sky.
Dani grumbled crossing her arms.
"So he's the one that ruined our day out!" She said
Vlad gave a huff but then turned to smirk at his daughter.
"What do you say my dear? Want to show this impertinent ghost some manners?" He said as he shifted into his ghost form.
Dani blinked surprised and smirked back as she shifted into her ghost form.
"With pleasure!" She said as she balled her hands into fists preparing to fight.
Together they flew up to the weather ghost getting right up to his face.
"Hey!" Dani called out
"What gives?! The forecast said no rain today! So why are you making it rain?! That's not cool!"
Vlad nods in agreement.
"Very uncool and rude of you to ruin not just ours but many other people's days."
Vortex blinked and laughed at them
"DO YOU THINK THAT WHEEEEZE VORTEX GIVES A DAM ABOUT WHEEEZE WHAT YOUR PATHETIC WHEEZS FORECAST SAYS?! VORTEX DOES WHEEEEZE AS VORTEX PLEASES! DON'T LIKE IT? TOO BAD! NOTHING WHEEEZE YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!"
Dani lifts her finger to point at Vortex
"That's where you're wrong! There IS something we can do... and that something is KICK YOUR ASS!" She said as she drove her left fist into her right palm.
"Right dad!?!" She said looking over at Vlad excited
Vlad chuckles and nods
"Yes Danielle, altho I wouldn't say it in such... a vulgar manner." He teased her but looked over at Vortex.
"But we will be kicking your behind,or as the kids say these days... mopping the floor with you." He said with a serious expression.
Dani laughed a bit at that and Vortex gagged
"ENOUGH TALKING! VORTEX WHEEEZE DOESNT HAVE ALL DAY!" He said as he made the winds blow harder and lighting crackle around him.
Vlad chuckles cracking his knuckles
"Don't worry,this will-"
"Only take a second!" Dani finished lunging at him,Vlad not too far behind.
It did take more than a second but the sky cleared once they were done. Vortex groaned and grumbled as he lay on the ground dirty and defeated.
"NOCCY IS WHEEEEEZE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS." He said as he struggled to get up.
Dani and Vlad high fived as they landed next to him.
Dani grins
"That's what you get for messing with the Masters!" She says watching Vortex get up wobbly and slink off
Vlad watches as well
"I hope you have learnt your lesson. It would be appreciated if you don't come around here for a while."
Vortex huffed
"YEAH, YEAH, IM GOING WHEEEZE IM GOING!" He said as he flew off.
Dani looked up at her dad and smiled
"Now, how's THAT for father daughter bonding?!" She said as she shifted back to normal.
Vlad followed suit with a light chuckle
"Not exactly how I imagined our trip going but I must admit, it was fun." He said smiling at his daughter.
"You are getting stronger and more confident with your fighting. I am so proud of you Danielle." He says ruffling her hair a bit.
Dani chuckles a bit
"Its all thanks to your training dad!" She says and then looks around at the still soaked ground.
"Sooooo... what do we do now?"
Vlad took a look around and then back at his daughter.
"Why dont we just go home to watch a movie and we can pick up some food on the way."
Danis eyes sparkled at this
"Can we get some Nasty Burger?!" She asked excited
Vlad scrunched up his face a bit but nods.
"I don't know why you seem to like that garbage, but if thats what you want we can get some."
Dani hugged him happily
"Thanks dad! You're the best!" She said as she went to go get her stuff.
Vlad smiles fondly at her
"Only the best for you my dear." He said as he followed her to get their stuff packed and ready to leave.

"how do you stay motivated?" well mostly i fantasize about losing my mind in public one day when the stress of it all becomes too much to bear so yeah
